It’s almost summertime, which means it's almost time for finding the perfect "summer fling". I’m sure you have dated someone with a typical profession-- you know, like a firefighter, a police officer, or maybe even a graphic designer. But maybe it felt like you were missing something. Well that’s because you weren’t dating a marketer!

Okay, okay... we may be a little biased. (; But as marketering specialists we have one of the best jobs. We get to be creative, help people and their businesses, play with numbers, and overall just have a ton of fun doing our job. If you are a like-minded individual, then you know that when you put a bunch of marketers together, we can make any meeting the life of the party-- especially here at Campaign Creators.

So, today we've decided to compile a list of 10 reasons to date a marketer. Bombs away!

1. We're obsessed with social media

Marketing specialists are obsessed with social media-- it’s not our fault it’s just a part of the job. Some may see this as a turn off... I mean who wants to date someone more focused on their Facebook than you? But believe us, this is a definite advantage. Not only will you be dating someone with mad social media skills, your skills will greatly improve too. Just by dating marketer, your social posts will flow start to flow with finesse.

2. We know how to analyze

Marketers are the great philosophers of the business world (minus the mumbo jumbo that most people don’t understand.) We can be very analytical-- after all it is our job to look at different demographics and see how they can best be reached. How does this relate to a relationship? Well, marketing specialists translate our analytical skills to our real life experiences. Send a passive aggressive text? Don’t worry, we already know that you’re mad and we are five steps ahead to fix the situation.

3. We're overly prepared

We spend most of our day coming up with strategic marketing plans that will best fit our clients' needs. (Which means that we are also good at poking holes in plans.) Don’t worry! This isn’t a negative thing. It just means that we can help you improve. Have a great idea? Awesome! Dating a marketer means that you will already know what is wrong with your plan before it launches-- which will give you time to make changes before a catastrophe happens. 4. We'll keep you from over-buying

As marketers we know the drill, and we can spot another company's marketing campaign strategy trying to attract us to their product. What does this mean for you? Well, when you date a marketing specialist you won’t have to worry about being the target of silly promotions. You will start to realize that maybe Target’s buy 5 of ‘insert brand here’ shampoos and conditioners get a $5 Target gift card can actually be wasteful if you don’t actually use that brand or the select products that are covered under the promotion. By hanging out with us, you will save A LOT of money (and space!).

5. We research everything

It's our job to know just about everything about competitors and products, which means that researching is hardwired into our brains. Because of this, our awesome researching skills can help you find the best products out there! Think of us as your personal shopper-- we know where to find high quality products that won’t break your bank.

6. We've got a news obsession

We love a good story, especially the kind were we can newsjack. Some may call it crazy, but our healthy obsession to be “in the know” will keep you well informed. We know trivial facts like mobile-friendly sites actually matter, Facebook changed their algorithm again, and the latest Google news. Our thirst of marketing knowledge will give you plenty of conversation starters.

7. We're likeable

Having to talk to people every day is one of the perks of the job. Because of this we have great social skills. (It’s not our fault that everyone loves talking to us!) We are just naturally social butterflies. Some may say that this is one of the best qualities a marketing specialist has. We can make friends easily, which means if you’re going to date a marketer, your social life will increase drastically. You’ll always have somewhere to be and someone to get drinks with-- which means you will have more friends then you could even imagine.

8. We know that “When You’re Right, You’re Right”

When we work on client strategic marketing projects we need to be certain that the information we are presenting is right. Which means that we know a lot and we need to be right all the time no matter the topic. We sometimes take this mentality home, which may not always be the best thing. However, it just means that when dating a marketer you will always stimulating conversations. Arguing with a marketer means you need to be five steps ahead of them to prove your point. This isn’t a drawback, it just means that your articulation and verbal communication skills will improve greatly.

9. We live off of creativity

Being creative is essential for our job, and we usually have to think outside of the box to come up with great marketing ideas for our clients. This is an awesome quality to have if you are going to date a marketer. You won’t have to deal with the monotonous task of coming up with pet names-- we've got you covered. We have to come up with fun and catchy names all the time, so although your nickname might change every two weeks your life will never be dull with a marketing specialist.

10. We're strategic

Our livelihood and career rely on us being great at strategic planning. When we aren’t strategizing about the best way to maximize our social reach, we like to have a life. However, our strategic side can’t stay hidden forever. Don’t worry, we apply this in our daily lives the best way possible… our travel. We are always strategizing the quickest way to get to where we are going. This means that you will never be late ever again, and you’ll pick up on tips when you aren’t with us.
