IT Infrastructure Success Story
How CoreSite Rebuilt 208 Marketing Assets in HubSpot Ahead of a Marketo License Deadline
CoreSite, a data center and IT infrastructure company with 464 employees, ran marketing on Marketo and sales development on SalesLoft, with both licenses expiring in mid-2023. Campaign Creators rebuilt 208 landing pages, forms, email templates, campaigns, workflows, and lists inside HubSpot Marketing Hub Enterprise ahead of Marketo's deadline, then moved the SDR team onto Sales Hub Enterprise against SalesLoft's tighter one.

Bi-directional Salesforce integration rebuilt around one-to-one contact sync
CoreSite is a data center and IT infrastructure company operating highly interconnected data center campuses across US metro markets, providing hybrid IT solutions to enterprises, cloud providers, network providers, and IT service providers. Founded in 2001, the company operated around 24 data centers across eight US markets before being acquired by American Tower in December 2021 for approximately $10.4 billion. It employs 464 people.
Selling colocation and interconnection to enterprise buyers is a long-cycle, multi-touch motion, which puts two teams in constant contact with the same accounts. CoreSite's marketing organization generates and nurtures demand, its sales development team works that demand into qualified conversations, and revenue reporting ties back to Salesforce so leadership can see what marketing contributed to closed opportunities. HubSpot Marketing Hub Enterprise and Sales Hub Enterprise now run across both teams, which means the handoff between them and the attribution behind it depend on the same platform.

The Challenge
CoreSite's marketing automation and sales engagement ran on two separate platforms, Marketo and SalesLoft, both licensed independently of the Salesforce CRM that tracked the business's actual revenue. With both licenses set to expire in mid-2023, CoreSite faced losing its marketing automation and SDR engagement capability within the same window, with no built-in path to preserve the Salesforce-linked reporting connecting marketing activity to closed revenue.
Each additional week without a completed migration narrowed the window to move 208 marketing assets, transition an active SDR team, and rebuild a Salesforce sync without a gap in reporting. A late start risked a period where CoreSite's marketing and sales teams had no working platform at all.
Closing a Marketing and Sales Migration Gap Before Two Licenses Expired
1. Expiring Licenses
Marketo's and SalesLoft's licenses were both set to lapse in mid-2023, on separate dates within weeks of each other. Without a completed migration by those dates, CoreSite's marketing automation and sales engagement capability would have gone dark entirely.
2. Undercounted Migration Scope
The initial sales hand-off itemized an estimated 75 Marketo assets to migrate, but technical scoping found 208 landing pages, forms, email templates, autoresponders, campaigns, workflows, and lists in active use. The gap made the real rebuild effort nearly three times the scope assumed at signing.
3. Attribution Risk
CoreSite's revenue reporting depended on Salesforce data linked back to marketing activity, named as the account's top concern for the migration. Any disruption to that link threatened to break the connection between marketing spend and closed revenue.
4. Duplicate Contact Records
Salesforce held Leads that pre-dated their own duplicate Contact records, each carrying source-tracking data the business relied on. HubSpot's one-record-per-email model meant a native sync would have silently dropped or collided that history.
5. Sales Engagement Handoff
The SDR team ran outbound engagement entirely inside SalesLoft, a platform with no built-in migration path once its license lapsed. Making that switch meant getting historical lead data usable inside Sales Hub before outbound work could resume at full pace.
"We had two license clocks running out on the same client within weeks of each other, so this wasn't a project we could stage slowly. We prioritized getting Marketing Hub live well ahead of the Marketo cutoff, then worked the Sales Hub and sync rebuild hard through the final weeks to get CoreSite's lead data in shape for the SDR team."

Why CoreSite Chose Campaign Creators, and How the Migration Was Built
CoreSite needed a partner who could execute a full marketing and sales platform migration on a fixed deadline, not simply configure HubSpot in the abstract. The engagement required specific technical capability:
-
Full asset-level migration of Marketo automation (landing pages, forms, email templates, autoresponders, campaigns, workflows, and lists) into Marketing Hub Enterprise
-
A SalesLoft-to-Sales-Hub-Enterprise transition for an active SDR team
-
A rebuilt, bi-directional Salesforce integration capable of one-to-one contact sync and closed-loop revenue reporting
-
A remediation path for duplicate Salesforce Lead and Contact records ahead of any new sync going live
Campaign Creators is a HubSpot Elite Solutions Partner with direct experience migrating legacy marketing-automation platforms into HubSpot under real deadline pressure.
Solution: How Campaign Creators Consolidated Three Platforms Into One
Campaign Creators sequenced the build around data integrity first: field mapping and duplicate resolution came before any sync went live, so the automation rebuilt on top ran against records both teams could trust.
One Platform in Place of Three
Marketing automation, sales engagement, and revenue reporting had lived across Marketo, SalesLoft, and a Salesforce sync model prone to data loss. Campaign Creators consolidated all three functions onto HubSpot Marketing Hub Enterprise and Sales Hub Enterprise as the system of record for marketing and sales activity, with Salesforce remaining the system of record for revenue.
Field Mapping and a Sandbox Before Production
Campaign Creators mapped Salesforce fields to their HubSpot equivalents before any data moved, defining what needed to exist on the HubSpot side to receive Salesforce's contact and opportunity data without loss. The integration was built and tested in a sandbox environment before going live in production, replacing the prior sync model with one-to-one contact sync and closed-loop revenue reporting from Salesforce Opportunities back into HubSpot.
Duplicate Records Resolved Before the Sync Turned On
Some Salesforce Leads pre-dated their own duplicate Contact records, each holding source-tracking data the business relied on. Both object types would otherwise sync to the same HubSpot Contact record, and HubSpot enforces one Contact record per email address. Campaign Creators exported, deduplicated, and re-imported the affected records before switching the new sync on.
One Contact Record for Marketing and Sales
Marketing and sales had been working from different, sometimes duplicated, versions of the same contact. The consolidated one-to-one sync gives both teams a single HubSpot contact record to reference for any given person, so a conversation one team has is visible to the other against the same record.
208 Marketo Assets Rebuilt Natively
The 208 migrated Marketo assets included CoreSite's existing campaign workflows and automated lists, each rebuilt natively in Marketing Hub Enterprise using the platform's own automation logic. Nothing was ported as a lift-and-shift that would need rebuilding again later.
One Outbound Platform for the SDR Team
The SDR team's transition from SalesLoft to Sales Hub Enterprise gave CoreSite's sales development organization a single platform for outbound engagement, replacing a tool with no further migration path ahead of it.
The Results
-
Marketing Hub Enterprise carrying all 208 rebuilt Marketo assets live well ahead of Marketo's own license deadline
-
Sales Hub Enterprise live for the SDR team by the project's close, completing the SalesLoft transition on a tight final stretch that included working through lead-data readiness in the last weeks before cutover
-
Salesforce and HubSpot syncing one-to-one, replacing the prior sync model that had been losing data on duplicate records
-
Closed-loop revenue reporting connecting marketing activity in HubSpot back to closed Salesforce opportunities
-
CoreSite has returned to Campaign Creators for additional work in the years since, including a Salesforce custom object build and further website and platform configuration work
Impact: One Platform Where Two Licenses Used to Expire
Marketing and sales now run on HubSpot Marketing Hub Enterprise and Sales Hub Enterprise, connected to Salesforce through a documented field mapping and one-to-one contact sync that CoreSite can extend without re-mapping how the two systems' data lines up. The dedupe work completed ahead of sync go-live means new contact records won't re-fragment the way the old Lead and Contact pairs did. CoreSite has continued building on this foundation in the years since, commissioning a Salesforce custom object build and additional platform work.
Solve Platform Migrations and Deadline-Driven HubSpot Transitions With Campaign Creators
Marketing and sales teams often outgrow their platforms on someone else's timeline. A license renewal or a vendor discontinuing a product can turn a multi-quarter migration into a six-week one, and the data connecting marketing activity to closed revenue is usually the first casualty of a rushed cutover. Closing that gap takes more than moving assets from one platform to another. It takes mapping every field, every contact record, and every automation before the old system goes dark, so the business doesn't lose the reporting it depends on in the process.
