Our Innovative AI Solutions

Custom Software for the Work Your CRM Wasn’t Built to Do.

Introducing: Brainstem Ventures, a part of Campaign Creators. Through it, we build the parts of your business that set you apart with AI, from custom quoting to client portals, as software of their own. Then we wire them natively back into HubSpot, Salesforce, your data lake, or any part of your business that's uniquely yours.

What we found

The Platform Was Never the Whole Business.

Over a thousand net new implementations and thousands of companies taught us the same thing every time. An out-of-the-box CRM, whether HubSpot, Salesforce or anything pre-built, does not always fit 100% of what a business actually needs. It fits most of it, and the part it misses is usually the part that makes you different.

Historically, closing that gap meant long custom work: months of scoping, building and maintaining code that sat beside the platform instead of inside it. Most businesses chose the other option. They bent their process to fit the software.

  • 1,000+Net new implementations
  • ThousandsOf companies, one pattern
  • 70–80%Is all the box was built to fit

Platforms Are Built for the Common Case.

HubSpot, Salesforce and the rest handle the common 70–80% of what a business needs, and they handle it well. The last 20–30% is where your business is different, and it’s exactly what off-the-shelf tools handle worst.

So, that part gets folded into someone else’s box, or patched together with tools that don’t talk to each other. Everyone ends up looking the same.

What rarely fits the box

  • A Unique Operational Flow
  • A High-Touch Sales Motion
  • A Brand Voice That Holds Through Every Conversation
  • Reporting Across Multiple Instances

Keep the Platform. Build What Sets You Apart.

Keep HubSpot as your system of record and the harness for security, maintenance and automation. Build the part that makes you different as its own software, then wire it natively back in so it all runs as one.

Built outside. Wired back in. The platform Your process, bent to fit The shape it used to be forced into

What changed

The Question Changed.

From “can we build it” to “what should we build.”

For years the question was whether the custom part was worth building at all. The answer was usually no: too slow, too expensive, too hard to maintain. So the business bent to fit the software and everyone ended up looking the same.

That is what changed. With AI agents doing the heavy lifting under human direction, custom software stopped being the slow, expensive option. The question is no longer can we build it. It is what should we build.

Meet Brainstem Ventures.

The era of creative technical freedom.

Brainstem Ventures is the department inside Campaign Creators that builds the part of your business the platform was never going to fit. It designs that part as software of its own, then wires it natively into HubSpot, Salesforce, any CRM or your data lake, so your team keeps working where it already works.

It lives inside Campaign Creators for a reason. Everything it builds starts from a thousand implementations’ worth of knowing exactly where the box ends.

The mark holds the whole idea. A code bracket stands for syntax, the structure software demands. A brushstroke stands for creativity, the part no template planned for. Where they meet is creative technical freedom: permission to design what you actually need, instead of bending your process around what you could buy.

Questions, answered

How Brainstem Ventures Works, in Plain Terms.

What it is, what it has built, how a build connects to your platform, and what you can expect once you reach out.

01What has Brainstem Ventures already built?

Client-facing builds, each wired into HubSpot:

  • Quote simulator with built-in e-signature. A pixel-faithful, interactive quote experience with the full e-signature journey inside it, from first price to signed agreement. Quote-to-cash as one continuous flow instead of five disconnected tools.
  • Bespoke CPQ. A React proposal and pricing experience built to show where a custom configure-price-quote beats HubSpot’s native quoting.
  • Lead relay and distribution. A relay that takes in every inbound lead and distributes it to the right reps, without anyone sorting a shared inbox.
  • Workflow dependency map. Maps how every workflow in a HubSpot portal depends on the others, so teams see the blast radius before they change anything. One portal mapped: 248 workflows and 181 dependencies.
  • Proposal and sales-sheet platform. A full proposal platform with an AI parser, agenda builder, client dashboards and password-gated documents, plus a data-driven sales-sheet engine.
02How does a custom build connect to HubSpot without breaking it?

The platform stays your system of record. The build runs as its own application and talks to HubSpot through HubSpot’s own APIs: a private app with scoped permissions, the CRM objects and associations APIs for contacts, companies, deals, line items and custom objects, webhooks for near-real-time triggers, and timeline events so activity from the build shows up on the record your team already looks at.

Sync is two-way and idempotent, so a record written twice lands once, and every write is logged. Salesforce connects the same way through its REST and Bulk APIs; a data lake receives the same events as a stream. Your automation, security, user roles and reporting keep running in the platform exactly as before, because the build never replaces it. It plugs in beside it.

03Does my team have to leave HubSpot to use what you build?

No. That is the point of wiring in natively. Deals, line items, quotes and contacts stay in sync through the APIs, so a rep can price in the custom quote builder and see the result on the HubSpot deal without switching tools. Reports, sequences, workflows and permissions keep working. The custom build handles the part HubSpot was never designed for; HubSpot keeps handling everything it already does well.

04How does the process work, from idea to working software?

Five stages, each with something you can hold.

  1. Imagine. A working session to map the idea, the people it serves and every system it has to touch. You get a one-page brief and a map of every system it touches.
  2. Blueprint. A technical design you can actually read: data model, integrations, screens and edge cases, agreed before code. You sign it off before anything is built.
  3. Build. AI agents do the heavy lifting under human direction, and you review working software as it comes together, early and often.
  4. Wire In. Native integration with your source of truth, so records and workflows stay where your team already works. Live sync with HubSpot, Salesforce or your data lake.
  5. Evolve. Versioned releases that build on everything before, from the same context and standards as the last.
05What does “AI agents under human direction” actually mean?

It means the writing of code is no longer the bottleneck, and the judgment still is. Specialized agents handle discovery, technical design, code generation, testing and deployment, with a human engineer setting direction, reviewing every design decision and owning the result. Every change runs through automated quality gates and regression suites, so a bug fixed once stays fixed and the platform cannot quietly slide backwards.

Practically, that is why custom software stopped being the slow, expensive option. The scoping, the architecture and the review still take care. The thousand lines of boilerplate between them no longer take weeks.

06How is this different from a dev shop or custom code inside HubSpot?

Custom code actions and serverless functions inside HubSpot are the right answer for small gaps, and we use them when they are. They stop being the right answer when the gap is a product: a client portal, a quoting engine, a routing layer with its own rules and screens. Those need a real data model, a real front end and real tests, which HubSpot’s custom-code surface was never meant to hold.

A traditional dev shop can build that product but rarely knows the CRM side, so the integration becomes the expensive, fragile part. Brainstem Ventures starts from a thousand implementations’ worth of knowing exactly where the box ends, and builds the software and the wiring as one job.

07What do you commit to, and what happens if it is not working?

Three things. You sign off a blueprint before any code is written, so there is no surprise about what is being built. You see working software early, not a slide deck about it. And you get a straight answer about what is ready and what is not, at every review. We will not promise fast; we will show you where it stands.

Because the build is wired in beside your platform rather than replacing it, nothing in HubSpot is at risk while it is in progress. If a version is not earning its place, you say so at the review and the next version answers it, or the work stops at a clean, documented point. Either way you keep the blueprint, the code and the integration map.

08What happens after I reach out?

You describe the workflow, the sales motion or the report that never fit the box. We come back with questions, not a pitch. If it looks like a fit, the next step is the Imagine working session, and you leave it with a one-page brief and a map of every system the idea touches. From there you decide whether to go to Blueprint. No commitment is needed to have the first conversation.
