IT & SaaS Success Story
How GTIA Cut Through Decision Paralysis on a 96,000-Visit Homepage Through a Targeted CRO Sprint
GTIA (Global Technology Industry Association) is a membership trade association serving IT service providers, MSPs, vendors, and distributors. Its homepage drew significant annual organic traffic and converted almost none of it. Campaign Creators ran a scoped Conversion Rate Optimization sprint, restructuring the homepage around a single primary call to action, making membership persona cards and benefit tiles clickable, resolving technical errors suppressing search performance, and building a dedicated page for GTIA's underserved IT Service Provider audience.

Membership Persona Pathways Fixed
GTIA, the Global Technology Industry Association, is a membership trade association for the technology channel, serving IT service providers, managed service providers, vendors, and distributors alongside individual industry associates. It was formerly branded CompTIA.
The organization runs its public site and membership programs on HubSpot CMS and Marketing Hub. Its homepage is the primary entry point for every one of those audiences, which means the page carries the full weight of introducing the association and routing each visitor toward the membership path that fits them.

Domain Trust Remediation
The Challenge
GTIA's homepage carried significant organic traffic without converting it. Google Analytics showed 96,370 annual page views alongside an 81.8% bounce rate and a 77.07% exit rate: visitors arrived in volume and left without taking a next step. The page tried to speak to three separate audiences through tiles and persona cards, none of which linked anywhere.
Every visitor who bounced from an unclickable persona card was a member, vendor, or association candidate who found no path forward. Every month the site's flagged 404 errors and toxic backlinks went unaddressed, the domain's search trust eroded further, compounding a page that already had traffic but no conversion mechanism.
The site's structural gaps
1. Non-functional persona pathways.
The "Join Today" cards for GTIA's three core membership types carried no clickable links or CTAs. A visitor had no way to self-select into the membership path that matched them.
2. Inert benefit tiles.
The "Membership Benefits for Your Business" module presented value propositions as static text with no linked destination. A visitor interested in a specific benefit had no way to act on that interest from the page itself.
3. Broken high-intent pages.
The events-aggregation page and select pages inside GTIA's member portal returned 404/403 errors. Visitors arriving from search or email at the moment of highest intent hit a dead end.
4. Toxic backlinks undermining domain trust.
A SEMrush audit flagged a meaningful share of GTIA's referring domains as toxic or potentially toxic. The unresolved backlinks continued to suppress the organic search visibility feeding the homepage's own traffic.
5. Generic SERP metadata against high impression volume.
Homepage and Join Now page title tags and meta descriptions did not clearly communicate GTIA's audience or value, converting only 1.4% of the pages' 600,000+ annual organic impressions into clicks. Most of GTIA's search visibility never reached the site at all.
6. A high-engagement page with no conversion mechanism.
The Cybersecurity Trustmark page held visitors for an average of 113 seconds but produced only 1 form submission and 0 customers against an 83.59% bounce rate. Genuine visitor interest had no form or CTA positioned to capture it.
"GTIA didn't need a redesign. They needed us to find the exact spots where a highly trafficked page was quietly turning visitors away, and fix those spots first."

Why GTIA Chose Campaign Creators
Campaign Creators was already GTIA's HubSpot partner, having built the Cvent event-workflow integration and run the domain-health audit that first surfaced the backlink issue behind this engagement. That familiarity with GTIA's HubSpot CMS and Marketing Hub environment meant the work could move from diagnosis to execution directly, turning raw analytics into a prioritized set of fixes without a full site rebuild and without GTIA running a separate vendor search for the follow-on work.
-
Analysis across Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and SEMrush to identify and prioritize the highest-impact fixes
-
Homepage and persona-card redesign executed inside GTIA's existing HubSpot CMS templates, without a full site rebuild
-
Resolution of flagged 404 errors, including a documented workaround for a page outside Campaign Creators' direct edit access
-
A disavow submission process addressing toxic backlinks flagged in the domain-health audit
-
A prioritization framework flexible enough to pause and resequence items, such as the Vendor Join Now page, as GTIA's own internal initiatives shifted
The Results
Each fix targeted a specific, previously undocumented leak in GTIA's highest-traffic pages. Key outcomes included:
Homepage above-the-fold restructured around a single primary call to action, replacing a layout that had left visitors without a clear next step
The three membership persona cards (MSP/Solution Provider, Vendor/Distributor, Industry Associate) now carry role-specific CTAs; each card previously rendered with no link at all
"Membership Benefits for Your Business" tiles now link directly to their respective program pages; the tiles previously displayed as static text with no linked destination
The events-aggregation page's 404 error was resolved with a redirect to GTIA's primary events page, confirmed fixed by GTIA's own team
A disavow file addressing toxic and potentially toxic backlinks was submitted to Google on March 9, 2026, pending Google's confirmation
Homepage and Join Now page title tags and meta descriptions were rewritten to target GTIA's actual audience and clarify search intent
A new, dedicated membership page for GTIA's ITSP audience was built mid-sprint after GTIA identified it as a top 2026 priority
A recorded walkthrough of workaround options was delivered for the one flagged 404 outside Campaign Creators' direct edit access
Each of these fixes closed a specific point where GTIA's existing traffic was arriving and finding nowhere to go.
Impact: Closing the Gaps Between Traffic and Conversion
GTIA finished this sprint with a documented map of where its highest-traffic pages were losing visitors, and with each of those points addressed in the CMS it already runs on. A visitor who identifies as an MSP, a vendor, or an industry associate now has a path from the homepage into the membership track that fits them. A visitor arriving from search at the events page reaches the events page rather than a 404. And the homepage and Join Now metadata now describe GTIA's actual audience, which is what 600,000 annual impressions were previously being evaluated against.
Two items remain in motion by design. The disavow file submitted to Google on March 9, 2026 awaits Google's confirmation, and one flagged 404 sits outside Campaign Creators' direct edit access, handed off with a recorded walkthrough of workaround options. Both are documented rather than open-ended, which is the difference between a pending item and an unknown one.
Solve Website Conversion and Search Visibility Gaps With Campaign Creators
High-traffic websites lose value every day they fail to convert visitors who are already arriving. Closing that gap takes more than a redesign: a prioritized read of what analytics actually show, a way to fix technical and domain-trust issues alongside on-page changes, and enough flexibility to adjust scope as an organization's own priorities shift mid-engagement. Campaign Creators builds prioritized, sequenced fix lists for organizations sitting on traffic they aren't converting.
