Marketing Technologist (Automation)

For the Marketer turned Tech-Geek, the Marketing Technologist is at the heart of all things Campaign Creator's marketing technology. The Marketing Technologist is responsible for getting down and dirty with new systems to quickly understand the ins and outs and provide our Clients with the best technical solutions to fit their needs.


The Marketing Technologist supports Marketing Strategists in planning approach and building within the technology used by our clients. They act as a supporting contact for clients to reach out to for anything related to the build out and management of technology. On demand support is also available from additional team members in the role of interactive designer, developer, and researcher/analyst. The Marketing Technologist works with clients on a variety of contracts including project based work and retainers. They may also be requested to assist with internal marketing efforts as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Utilization of marketing automation platforms and tools based on the client’s needs
  • Landing page production, workflow creation & implementation and email building (including all required content)
  • Development and delivery of information such as notes, monthly client reports, and required deliverables to their assigned Strategist
  • Collaborate on projects with developers, designers, copywriters, etc.
  • Maintain required company certifications
  • Oversee Jr. Marketing Technologist efforts
  • Run the weekly pod meeting to ensure all Client deliverables are on track and on time
  • Assign tasks to internal team members and pre-vetted external vendors based on skillset & expertise
  • Identify needed resources and skillsets

Experience and Qualifications Requirements

  • 2-3 years of technical production experience required
  • Expert level Hubspot knowledge, with a minimum of the following certifications completed: Inbound, Inbound Marketing, Hubspot Marketing Software, GDD, Client Management, Content Marketing, Delivering Client Success, Hubspot Sales Software, Email Marketing, Contextual Marketing, Hubspot Design, Hubspot Marketing Software (all new team members have 60 days to completed the required certifications)
  • High technical aptitude – the ability to hop into any new tool or tech and master it quickly
  • Advanced experience in lead nurturing strategies using marketing automation
  • Advanced understanding of inbound marketing tactics and the ability to carry out and implement strategies with minimal supervision
  • Expert understanding of workflow planning, email marketing, and landing page development
  • Ability to test all completed work at an advanced level and carry out tasks accurately. Minimal mistakes.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting technology and editing html/css to complete email and landing page modifications
  • Extremely organized and able to adapt in a fast paced environment
